Sayulita resident Anne Menke, locally known as a co-founder and board member of the Costa Verde International School (CVIS) and internationally known as a fashion photographer, held a book signing and show opening this week for her new photography book SEE THE WORLD BEAUTIFUL.With gorgeous, evocative photos she’s shot all over the world framed and displayed on the walls of the Espacio Pachamama on Calle Delfines in downtown Sayulita, the opening not only gave Anne a chance to show our little pueblo a wonderful selection of her work——it also served as a fundraiser for CVIS and Casa CLU in nearby San Ignacio.

Aside from showing off the work and helping the cause, the opening provided Anne’s local crew of friends, neighbors, and admirers a chance to dress up and make a scene not unlike a New York or LA opening, except for the odd bikini or boardshorts-clad surfer strolling in to have a look. It was a lively event, and it was great to see the town turn out for a show from one of our own.

The prints will be up on the wall for a few weeks, so have a look, buy a photo or a book, help a couple of local non-profits, and in the process get something beautiful to hang on your wall or put on your coffee table.
